Matthew David Cooke (1978 - )

A native of Belleville, Ontario, Cooke grew up playing hockey appearing in the 1992 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament before moving up to the OHL.

Drafted by Vancouver in 1997, Cooke returned to the OHL for one more season before representing Canada at the 1998 World Junior Championships. He earned the Fred J. Hume Award in 2003 with Vancouver and the Gold Medal representing Canada at the 2004 World Championships.

Cooke was able to hoist the Stanley Cup as a member of the Penguins in 2009.
